The No. 1 ranked UCLA women's golf team finished the second round of the Pac-10 Championship in 4th place, which puts them 11 strokes back of the leader. Individually, sophomore Tiffany Lua ended the day tied for the lead after shooting a second round score of 72 (E).
The Bruins shot a 300 (+12) for their round to give them a total score of 584 (+8). The USC Trojans are currently in the lead after posting a 291 (+3) for their round to give them a total of 573 (-3). Right now the Trojans are leading by 7 strokes over Stanford and Arizona, who are tied for 2nd at 580 (+4). Rounding out the top 5 is Cal, who shot 295 (+7) to give them a score of 588 (+12). The real winner today though was Karsten Golf Course, as no team and only four individuals posted a round under par.
Lua finished her round in a tie for first place with USC's Sophia Popov after shooting a second round 72 (E) to give her a total score of 140 (-4). Both competitors currently hold a one stroke lead over second place Cyna Rodriguez of USC. As for the rest of the Bruins, junior Stephanie Kono, senior Glory Yang and freshman Ani Gulugian each posted second round scores of 76 (+4). Kono tied for 15th place at 147 (+3), Yang tied for 18th place at 148 (+4), and Gulugian finished in 25th place at 150 (+6). Finally, sophomore Lee Lopez shot 79 (+7) for her round to finish tied for 29th place at 152 (+8).
