No. 1 UCLA Women's Water Polo Blanks No. 13 Michigan, 16-0

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Senior Brittany Rowe scored a team-leading three goals as the No. 1 UCLA women's water polo team shut out No. 13 Michigan, 16-0, Saturday afternoon at the Stanford Invitational. The Bruins (7-0) received goals from 11 players against the Wolverines (2-3).

Senior Kamaile Crowell, junior Katie Rulon and freshman Priscilla Orozco each scored two goals in the win. Rulon has scored at least two goals in each of UCLA's seven matches this season.

UCLA raced to a 5-0 lead after one quarter and led 9-0 at halftime. The Bruins outscored Michigan 3-0 in the third frame and totaled four goals in the final quarter.

Junior Brittany Fullen recorded six saves in the cage for UCLA. Michigan goalkeeper Kimberly Gero totaled four stops.

UCLA will face No. 4 Hawai'i on Saturday at 5:50 p.m. at Stanford's Avery Aquatic Center.
