TUCSON, Ariz. - Senior Tabi Love had 11 kills and six digs and senior Rachael Kidder posted 10 kills, but the fifth-ranked Bruins were swept by Arizona on Friday at the McKale Center. Set scores were 25-22, 25-16, 26-24.

The Bruins fall to 17-5 overall and 9-4 in Pac-12 play, while the Wildcats improve to 13-11 and 5-8 in league action.

Senior Bojana Todorovic added nine digs, junior Kelly Reeves had seven kills and seven digs and sophomore Megan Moenoa recorded 30 assists and seven digs. The Bruins hit a season-low .143.

The Bruins never led in dropping the opening set. Arizona scored the first four points and seven of nine to take an early lead. The Wildcats' biggest lead of the set was five on several occasions. Down 10-5, the Bruins scored four straight on a Love kill and three straight Arizona attack errors to get to within one. Still trailing 14-12, a Kidder kill and an Arizona attack error got the Bruins back to even for the first time since the match started.

The Wildcats scored the next three, but two kills by Kidder, with one by Reeves in between, equaled it at 17. That tie score would be the last of the set. Arizona scored six of the next eight to take a 23-19 advantage and went on to win the first 25-22. Kidder led the Bruins with five kills in the first, while Love added four kills and five digs. The Bruins were out-hit .135 to .023.

UCLA held three one-point leads to open the second set, but Arizona came right back to take the lead and never looked back. Down 3-2, the Wildcats scored five of six to take a 7-4 edge. The closest the Bruins would get the rest of the set was a pair at 9-7. UCLA only scored back-to-back points on four occasions and never had three in a row. The Bruins were out-hit .440 to .100. Reeves and sophomore Zoë Nightingale each had two kills to lead UCLA.

The Bruins scored two of the first three points of the third set on a Love kill and a Nightingale solo block, but three in a row for Arizona put the home team up 4-2. The Wildcats saw their lead grow to as many as five on a few occasions. With the Bruins trailing 19-15, they went on a 6-1 run to go ahead 21-20. Back-to-back Love kills made it 19-17, and after an Arizona sideout, a kill by sophomore Karsta Lowe, a Love kill, a Reeves ace and a Wildcat attack error put the Bruins in front by one.

Arizona came back with two in a row to re-take the lead, but a Nightingale kill and a Wildcat attack error put UCLA back ahead 23-22. After an Arizona sideout, a Kidder kill gave the Bruins set point. However, the Wildcats scored the last three of the match to win the third 26-24. Love had six kills to lead the Bruins in the third, Kidder added four and Lowe and Reeves posted three apiece. Moenoa and Todorovic each added six digs, as the Bruins were out-hit .333 to .271.

The Bruins continue their four-match road trip on Saturday at Arizona State at 7 p.m. Gametracker and audio will be available at
