The UCLA men's golf team will travel to the U.S. Collegiate Championship in Atlanta this week with the No.1 ranking and a pair of individual winners.

The Bruins rose to No.1 Monday in GolfWeek's computer ranking mainly on the strength of their only result of the Fall schedule -- a runner-up finish at the Fall Preview.

The Bruins boast a pair of individual champions who will be in the lineup this week. Sophomore Pontus Widegren won the Fall Preview by two shots. This week, Widegren was ranked second nationally. Sophomore Mario Clemens won the Cal Poly Invitational by four shots on Oct. 5.

The Bruins were last ranked No.1 at the end of the 2004 season.
