Three Tennis Players Earn All-Pac-12 Academic Honors

2012 Pac-12 All-Academic Teams Get Acrobat Reader

LOS ANGELES - Three UCLA tennis players were honored for their work both on the court and in the classroom on Wednesday, as the Pac-12 released its all-academic teams for men's and women's tennis.

Senior Nick Meister (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.) led the way for UCLA, as he was one of only eight players in the conference to land a spot on the first team. He finished the year with a 19-7 overall singles record, playing all of his matches at either the No. 1 or 2 positions. Meister was also 19-9 in doubles this season, teaming mostly with Dennis Novikov at the No. 2 spot. As one of the top 16 seeds at the NCAA Singles Championships, Meister earned All-America honors in singles for the first time in his career in 2012. Meister graduated with a degree in Political Science during the Spring Quarter. This year marks the third all-academic selection of his career, as he was also on the second-team in 2010 and earned Honorable Mention honors as a sophomore in 2009.

Two other Bruins recognized by the Pac-12 on Wednesday were sophomores Adrien Puget (Le Haillan, France) and Courtney Dolehide (Hinsdale, Ill.). The two players were Honorable Mention selections.
