Cross Country Continues 2009 Campaign At Notre Dame Invitational

The UCLA cross country teams will head to South Bend, Indiana on Friday to compete in the 54th Annual Notre Dame Invitational as the 2009 season continues. The meet features 17 ranked teams and a total of 47 schools in all.

Both the men's and women's team will compete in the Blue Race with the women running at 4:15 and the men to follow at 5:00 (all times local to the site).

Teams competing in the women's race are Arizona, Arizona State, Bradley, UC Riverside, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, New Mexico, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Princeton, Providence, Rice, Southern Methodist, Southern Utah, UCLA, Utah State and Washington.

On the men's side, teams competing include Arizona, Arizona State, Butler, UC Riverside, Dayton, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois State, Indiana State, New Mexico, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Princeton, Providence, Southern Illinois, Southern Utah, Tulsa, UCLA, Utah State and Washington.

Competing for the Bruin women are - juniors Rosa Magana, Shannon Murakami and Kelcie Wiemann; sophomores Katja Goldring, Sadee Martinez and Taryn Pastoor; and freshmen Heather Balbier and Allison Lopez.

On the men's side, the Bruins will send - seniors Marco Anzures, Alex Crabill, Jake Matthews and Marlon Patterson; junior Kevin Sullivan; sophomores David McDonald and Spencer Knight; and freshman Zack Torres.
