Sophomore guard Doreena Campbell (Alexandria, VA/Thomas A. Edison HS) of the UCLA women's basketball team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 8-14.
Campbell led UCLA to a 95-58 win over San Diego on Sunday, as the Bruins won their fifth-straight to improve to 7-1 on the year. Campbell led all players in scoring (18 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field), rebounding (7 rebounds) and assists (career-high tying 8 assists). She also had two steals, a block and zero turnovers in 31 minutes of action. Campbell continues to lead UCLA in scoring this season with an average of 11.5 points per game.
This is Campbell's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
