WOODLAND, Calif. - KK Clark has captured KAP7 MPSF Player of the Week acclaim for the week of Feb. 20-26, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) announced Monday. Clark led UCLA with nine goals in four matches as the Bruins won the UCI Invitational title Sunday.
Clark, a senior utility player from Atherton, Calif., has scored in all 13 matches for UCLA this season. Over the weekend, she scored three goals in each of UCLA's win on Saturday against Cal State Northridge and Michigan, before adding one goal in an 8-7 victory against USC on Sunday.
Clark led UCLA with two goals in a 5-4 win over Stanford in the tournament's championship match Sunday evening.
UCLA improved to 12-1 on Sunday with victories over USC and Stanford. The Bruins handed Stanford its first loss of the season, snapping the Cardinal's 11-game win streak.
This marks the second time in her career that Clark has earned MPSF Player of the Week honors. She was named MPSF Player of the Week following the first week of this season.
No. 3 UCLA returns to action with an MPSF match at No. 2 USC on Saturday afternoon. Game time at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium is 1 p.m.
