Following its convincing 14-shot victory at the Mason Rudolph Championship over the weekend, the UCLA women's golf team rose to the No.1 ranking this week in the GolfWeek/Sagarin poll.
The Bruins are ranked No.1 for the first time since the beginning of the 2004-05 season. Arizona State is No.2, followed by Duke at No.3.
On Monday, the Bruins were voted GolfWeek's Team of the Week after posting an impressive score of 13-under par 851 at the Legends Club Ironhorse Course over 54 holes. They were the only team in the field to finish under par and the only team to record three consecutive rounds under par for the tournament.
In addition, junior Tiffany Joh tied the course record of 65 (-7) in the first round. Freshman Maria Jose Uribe's 66 (-6) set a tournament record for the second round, and the Bruins' 36-hole total of 564 (-12) set a Mason Rudolph 36-hole record.
