No. 3 UCLA Women's Water Polo Takes Down No. 10 San Jose State, 13-6

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Seniors Anne Belden and Tanya Gandy and freshman KK Clark each scored three goals to lead the No. 3 UCLA women's water polo team past No. 10 San Jose State, 13-6, in both teams' first matches at the Stanford Invitational.

The Bruins (5-0) also received two goals from freshman Sarah Orozco and one goal each from senior Katie Rulon and sophomore Priscilla Orozco.

San Jose State's Bridget McKee led the Spartans (6-3) with two goals.

UCLA owned a 3-0 advantage after the first quarter and increased its advantage to 7-3 by halftime. Both teams traded two goals in the third frame before UCLA outscored San Jose State, 4-1, in the final quarter.

Senior goalkeeper Brittany Fullen recorded five saves in the cage for UCLA. San Jose State's Meagan Minson finished the contest with eight saves.

The Bruins have won their last 46 contests, a win streak dating back to April 2007.

UCLA resumes play at the Stanford Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7, against No. 4 Hawai'i (4-2).
