Lin Reaches Quarterfinals in NCAA Singles Draw

Athens, Ga. - UCLA women's tennis player Tracy Lin continued her impressive run in the NCAA singles draw on Friday, as the Bruin junior earned a spot in the quarterfinals with a straight-set victory over Florida's Csilla Borsanyi in the round of 16.

Lin won the battle of unseeded players by posting a 6-4, 7-6(3) victory over Borsanyi at Georgia's Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Another unseeded player awaits Lin in the quarterfinals however her opponent, Zuzana Zemenova of Baylor, won the 2005 NCAA Singles Championship as a freshman in 2005.

UCLA's lone doubles team in the tournament fell in the round of 16 on Friday, as Yasmin Schnack and Riza Zalameda were defeated by Clemson's Ani Mijacika/Federica van Adrichem, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.
