Bruins Ranked Fourth in Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The UCLA women's basketball team was selected fourth in the Pac-12 preseason coaches poll, which was announced by the conference on Thursday. The Bruins received 83 points.

Stanford was the consensus top pick, recording all 11 possible first-place votes. USC, which was second in the poll, earned the other first-place nod as teams were not allowed to vote for their own squads. California rounds out the top three with 98 points.

Following UCLA in fourth was Arizona State (68) and Pac-12 newcomer Utah (61) in sixth. The bottom half of the poll featured Washington State (59) in seventh, Oregon (51), Arizona (48), Washington (38), Colorado (36) and Oregon State (18) in 12th.

The Bruins continue to practice and host their lone exhibition contest on Monday, Nov. 7 against Vanguard at 7 p.m. at the John Wooden Center.
