Women's Tennis to Host Washington Schools
The No. 5 UCLA women's tennis team (14-2; 1-0 Pac-10) continues Pac-10 play this week, hosting Washington State (8-7; 1-1 Pac-10) on Friday at 1:30 p.m., and No. 19 Washington (9-2; 1-1 Pac-10) on Saturday at Noon. Both matches will take place at UCLA's Los Angeles Tennis Center. Live stats will be available for each contest by clicking HERE.
PARKING ADVISORY: Due to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards at Pauley Pavilion on Saturday, tennis fans are encouraged to park in either Lot 8 or Lot 7. Lot 6 will not be available that day. Click HERE for a map of campus parking structures.
Men Head to the Pacific Northwest
The No. 12 UCLA men's tennis team (8-4) hits the road for its first two conference matches of the season this week, as the Bruins are scheduled to face No. 21 Washington (15-1) on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Seattle, and Oregon (11-4) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Eugene.
Bruins Blank Shockers, 7-0
UCLA played its first match in nearly two weeks on Tuesday, dispatching of visiting Wichita State, 7-0 at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. Playing his first-ever match at the No. 1 singles position, junior Nick Meister turned in the most dominant showing of the day, downing Sven Kasper, 6-1, 6-1. New Rankings Released on Tuesday
New team rankings were released this week, as the UCLA women moved up from No. 6 to No. 5, while the men fell two spots from No. 10 to No. 12. The full rankings can be released by clicking HERE. New team and individual rankings will be released next week.
