The second-ranked UCLA men's water polo team defeated Fordham, 22-0, on Saturday morning at DeNunzio Pool in the Bruins' first game of the Princeton Invitational. UCLA (4-0) received a game-high five goals from senior Griffin White, who missed the first three matches of the season due to injury.

The Bruins jumped out to an 8-0 lead at the end of the first period. White scored two of his five goals in the opening stanza. Senior goalkeeper Matt Rapacz saw his first action of the season after missing last week due to injury and picked up three saves in the first period.

UCLA led 15-0 at halftime after another senior who missed last week due to injury, Lucas Reynolds, scored three of his four goals in the second period. White added two more goals in the second period as well. Rapacz made one save to finish the game with four stops in goal. Sophomore Stephen White played the second half in the cage for the Bruins.

The Bruins got goals from Daniel Lenhart, Joey Fuentes and Chris Fahlsing in the third period to extend the lead to 18-0. Senior Chris Wendt scored his only two goals in the fourth period and Reynolds and White scored again in the final period to end the scoring at 22-0.

In the match, the Bruins made two of their three penalty shots and converted on 6-of-6 power play opportunities. Fordham (0-4) was 0-for-4 on its extra man opportunities and won the final sprint after losing the first three. White recorded four saves in goal in the second half for the Bruins while Noah LeBeau registered six saves for the Rams. UCLA received goals from 13 different Bruins.
