A total of 276 UCLA student-athletes earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in the 2011 Fall Quarter. To make the Director's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade-point average of at least 3.0 and pass at least 12 quarter units.
Of the 276 named to the Fall honor roll, 86 earned a 3.5 GPA or greater, and 17 earned a perfect 4.0.
"Excelling in the classroom is expected from the UCLA student-athlete, and we were proud to see so many succeed academically last quarter," said Dr. Christina Rivera, Associate Athletic Director - Academic and Student Services. "Their ability to balance their athletic and academic responsibilities is quite commendable considering the tremendous demands on their time. They're truly champions in both academics and athletics. We would also like to thank our coaches, academic support staff, faculty and University administration for their support of our academic endeavors."
Women's rowing led all teams with 33 members on the Director's Honor Roll, followed by women's track & field/cross country with 30 and men's track and field/cross country with 27. Women's swimming and diving boasted 25, followed by football with 20 and women's soccer with 19.
