Main Wins Del Walker Invitational by Six Shots

UCLA junior Gregor Main won his first collegiate tournament Tuesday, capturing the Del Walker Invitational title by six shots at the Virginia Country Club in Long Beach.

Main fired a final round score of 66 (-4) and finished six strokes ahead of Santa Clara's Rick Lamb. Main's final 54-hole score of 203 was seven-under par and earned him a spot on the Bruins' travel roster to Las Vegas next week.

Junior Alex Shi Yup Kim tied for 11th at 216 (+6) following a final round score of 71 (+1). Sophomore Pedro Figueiredo tied for 39th place at 223 (+13) after his round Tuesday of 72 (+2). Finally, sophomore Bobby Lange tied for 45th place at 225 (+15) after signing for a third round score of 76 (+6).

Santa Clara won the team title by one stroke over host Long Beach State.
