Senior Austin Ramos (Sacramento, CA/Jesuit HS) of the UCLA men's cross country team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 12-19.
Ramos capped off his UCLA cross country career with an All-America finish at the NCAA Championships on Monday. Ramos, who qualified as an individual, finished 32nd overall in a time of 30:29.5 to earn the second cross country All-America honor of his career. It was the third All-America honor for the senior, who also earned honors last June in the 5000m at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Ramos was UCLA's No. 1 runner all season long, leading the men to their highest Pac-10 team finish (4th) in 10 years.
This is Ramos' first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
