Bruin Alum Crabill Is Top American Finisher at Berlin Marathon

Former Bruin track and field athlete, Alex Crabill, was the top American finisher at the Berlin Marathon, running a personal-best and an Olympic Marathon Trials qualifying mark of 2:17:42 to place 19th overall.

The winner, Patrick Makau from Kenya, set a new World Record with his time of 2:03:38. The US Olympic Marathon Trials are in Houston, TX this coming January. He will join three other Bruin alums at the Trials - Olympic marathon silver medalist Meb Keflezighi, and Kyle and Drew Shackelton.
