The UCLA women's water polo team has moved to the top spot in the Collegiate Water Polo Association national rankings after winning the Stanford Invitational last weekend. The Bruins beat last week's top-ranked team, USC, by scoring five goals in the fourth quarter of the championship game of the tournament.
UCLA begins regular-season MPSF play this week against Cal on Friday, February 16th. The Bruins (4-0) beat Cal (2-2) 10-2 on the first day of the Stanford Invitational tournament. Cal is currently ranked fourth in the country. The game will take place at 7:00 pm in Berkeley, California.
The next day the Bruins will take on the Pacific Tigers (0-3). The game will take place at 12:00 pm in Stockton, California.
The MPSF conference currently holds the top eight spots in the national rankings.
