Johnny Quinn and Bo Taylor highlighted a small group of competitors for the men's track and field team on Saturday in La Jolla at the UCSD Triton Invite. Quinn tied for first in the pole vault competition with a solid mark of 17-2.75,while Taylor threw a season-best 182-8 to finish 10th overall.
Thomas Nagengast threw a lifetime-best 176-8 in the discus to finish just behind Taylor in 11th-place. Nagengast also threw a season-best 153-10 in the hammer to finish 20th overall.
In the pole vault behind Quinn's win, Casey DiCesare finished in a tie for fourth with a mark of 16-8.75. Brennan Turner, Soctt DiCesare and Eric White each tied for ninth with equal clearances of 15-9.
The Bruins return home on Saturday May 1st for the crosstown dual meet with the Trojans. That meet marks the end of the regular season.
