Golfers Second after Day One in Texas

The 14th-ranked UCLA women's golf team was in second place after the first round of the Texas A & M "Mo" Morial at the Tradition Golf Club in Bryan, TX.

The Bruins were one shot behind third-ranked Arizona State at 16-over par 304. Host Texas A & M was third at 305 (+17), followed by USC at 306 (+18) and Oklahoma State at 307 (+19).

Individually for the Bruins, senior Hannah Jun was in first place at two-under par 70. Jun's round featured an eagle on the par 5 15th hole. She led Texas A & M's Ashley Knoll by two shots. Sophomores Tiffany Joh and Ryann O'Toole were tied for 17th at 77 (+5). Freshmen Lalita Boonnoppornkul and Sydnee Michaels were tied for 40th after carding scores of 80 (+8).
