Each week, uclabruins.com will update and highlight select UCLA players' progress during the current MLS season. Games highlighted are from Aug. 27-Sept. 2. The Bruins lead all universities with 23 alumni in MLS.

Tony Beltran (Real Salt Lake; Years played at UCLA: 2006-07)
Beltran started and played all 90 minutes in defense as Real Salt Lake defeated the Houston Dynamo 1-0 on Saturday. He recorded one shot in the match. It was also Salt Lake's 10th shutout of the year and Beltran has played in nine of those shutouts.
Real Salt Lake record: 14-10-4, 46 points, 2nd place in Western Conference

Benny Feilhaber (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 2003-04)
Feilhaber came on as a substitute and played 25 minutes for New England in their 3-3 draw with Chivas USA on Wednesday. He came on for Saer Sene in the 65th minute and recorded one shot on goal in the match. Then on Saturday, Feilhaber started and played all 90 minutes at midfielder as the Revolution played to a 0-0 tie with Philadelphia. He recorded one shot against the Union.
Revolution record: 6-14-7, 25 points, 9th place in Eastern Conference

Kevin Hartman (FC Dallas; Years played at UCLA: 1995-96)
Kevin Hartman made three saves in FC Dallas' 1-1 draw with the Sounders on Sunday. He faced 11 total shots in the match and has now recorded 77 saves on the season.
FC Dallas record: 8-12-9, 33 points, 6th place in Western Conference

Jordan Harvey (Vancouver Whitecaps FC; Years played at UCLA: 2002-05)
Harvey started and played all 90 minutes at left back in Vancouver's 2-0 loss to the Galaxy on Saturday. It was Harvey's 12th start of the year for the Whitecaps.

Patrick Ianni started and played all 90 minutes at center back in Seattle's 1-1 draw with FC Dallas on Sunday. It was Ianni's first start since August 5th and his 13th start overall.

Chance Myers (Sporting Kansas City; Years played at UCLA: 2006-07)
Chance Myers started and played all 90 minutes in defense as Sporting Kansas City defeated Toronto FC 2-1 on Saturday. The former No. 1 overall draft pick recorded his fifth assist of the year when he assisted on Oriol Rosell's goal in the 87th minute. Myers played a cross to the near side of the box where Rosell one-timed the ball into the goal. Sporting Kansas City currently sits atop the standings in the Eastern Conference and Myers has played a key role in helping the club achieve that standing.

Amobi Okugo (Philadelphia Union; Years played at UCLA: 2009)
Okugo started and played all 90 minutes at defender in both of Philadelphia's matches this week, as the Union fell to the Crew 2-1 on Wednesday before drawing 0-0 with New England on Saturday. Against Columbus, Okugo recorded two shots in the match, one on goal. Against New England, Okugo kept on the offensive, recording three shots in the match including one on goal. He and the rest of the Union defense also held the Revolution to just nine shots total in the shutout. Okugo has now started and played all 90 minutes in Philadelphia's last 14 matches.
Union record: 7-13-5, 26 points, 8th place in Eastern Conference

Matt Reis (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 1994-97)
Matt Reis made six saves in New England's 3-3 draw with Chivas USA on Wednesday. Reis faced 20 total shots in the match. Then on Saturday, he made seven saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season in New England's 0-0 draw with the Union. Reis has now tallied 84 saves on the season, good for fourth best in all of MLS.

Reis's 2012 MLS season stats: 25GP/25GS, 2,250 minutes, 84 saves, 37 GA, 1.48 GAA

Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake; Years played at UCLA: 1997-99)
Nick Rimando made four saves and earned his 10th shutout of the year in Real Salt Lake's 1-0 victory over D.C. United on Saturday. He faced 14 total shots in the match. Rimando's 10 shutouts are tied for second best in all of MLS and earlier this week was selected to the 24-man roster for the U.S. Men's National Team's World Cup Qualifiers against Jamaica.

Rimando's 2012 MLS season stats: 26GP/26GS, 2,340 minutes, 63 saves, 30 GA, 1.15 GAA

Kelyn Rowe (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 2010-11)
Rowe started and played 83 minutes at midfielder in New England's 3-3 draw with Chivas USA on Wednesday. He recorded two shots in the match before being subbed off for Fernando Cardenas in the 83rd minute. Rowe then came on as a substitute and played 31 minutes for the Revolution in their 0-0 draw with Philadelphia on Saturday. He came on for Cardenas in the 59th minute and again recorded two shots in the match, one on goal.

Rowe's 2012 MLS season stats: 23GP/15GS, 1,349 minutes, 2 goals, 3 assists, 32 shots, 18 SOG

Michael Stephens (Los Angeles Galaxy; Years played at UCLA: 2006-09)
Michael Stephens came on as a substitute and played 11 minutes in the Galaxy's 2-0 win over Vancouver on Saturday. Stephens came on in the 79th minute for Mike Magee and did not record a statistic in his 11 minutes of play.
Galaxy record: 13-11-4, 43 points, 4th place in Western Conference

Marvell Wynne (Colorado Rapids; Years played at UCLA: 2004-05)
Marvell Wynne started and played all 90 minutes at center back in Colorado's 1-0 loss to Portland on Friday. He did not record a statistic in the match, but has now started and played all 90 minutes in 13 consecutive matches for Colorado.

Wynne's 2012 MLS season stats: 21GP/21GS, 1,890 minutes, 1 shot

Sal Zizzo (Portland Timbers; Years played at UCLA: 2005-06)
Zizzo started and played all 90 minutes in Portland's 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids on Friday. Zizzo had a big match for the Timbers, notching his third assist of the year while also recording three shots in the match. His assist came in the 45th minute, when he placed a beautiful cross in front of the goal to Bright Dike who finished for the game-winning goal.
Timbers record: 7-13-6, 27 points, 8th place in Western Conference
