Dolehide/Remynse Win NCTC Doubles Crown

LOS ANGELES - UCLA women's tennis players Courtney Dolehide and Andrea Remynse took home the doubles title at the National Collegiate Tennis Classic held at the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs on Sunday.

Dolehide and Remynse, the tournament's fourth-seeded team, began the day with an 8-6 upset over the second-seeded duo of Valeria Pulido/Alison Ramos of USC in the semifinals. Their second upset of the day came in the final, where they knocked off top-seeded Hilary Barte/Mallory Burdette of Stanford, 9-7.

At the Freeman Memorial Championships in Las Vegas, UCLA's Maya Johansson and McCall Jones fell in the Flight-I final on Sunday, suffering an 8-4 loss to USC's Kaitlyn Christian/Maria Sanchez.

UCLA opens up the 2011 dual-match season at home this Wednesday, hosting St. Mary's at 1:30 p.m.
