Jeff Gelalich presents the eighth episode of "Gel's Bells," a weekly video blog presented by UCLA's right fielder that chronicles the Bruins' 2012 season. Gelalich welcomes junior infielder Trevor Brown to this week's episode.
UCLA swept a three-game Pac-12 series last weekend after having finished its slate of midweek games with a perfect 11-0 record on Tuesday, May 22 with a 6-2 win at UC Irvine. The series sweep over the Trojans helped UCLA secure a share of the Pac-12 title.
Gelalich, Brown and the Bruins have won the Pac-12 title for the second consecutive year. This season, UCLA won the tiebreak with Arizona (both teams went 20-10 in conference play) by virtue of the Bruins' series victory against the Wildcats in Tucson, Ariz.
UCLA has won 15 of its last 17 games and will open the NCAA Los Angeles Regional on Friday evening against No. 4-seed Creighton (26-28). Seeded No. 1 in the Los Angeles Regional, the Bruins (42-14) are slated to begin Friday night's game at 7 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
All-session reserved and general admission ticket pages are currently on sale. Pending availability, single-game tickets will be on sale Friday morning. Fans can purchase tickets online by visiting tickets.ucla.edu (or clicking here) or calling the UCLA Central Ticket Office at (310) 825-2101.
