The top-ranked UCLA women's golf team placed third at the Stanford Intercollegiate Sunday at the Stanford Golf Course.
The Bruins posted a final round team score of 285 (+1) for a 54-hole total of 872 (+20), six shots behind second place Duke and 10 shots behind first place Arizona State. The Sun Devils overtook the Blue Devils on the Sunday by posting a final round eight-under par score of 276. Duke posted a score of 292 (+8) on the final day and finished with a three-day total of 866 (+14). ASU's winning score was 862 (+10). Arkansas finished fourth at 886 (+34) and Cal placed fifth at 890 (+38).
Individually for UCLA, sophomore Sydnee Michaels tied for 11th place at 218 (+5) after posting a score of 72 (+1) in the final round. Junior Tiffany Joh rallied with a score of 68 (-3) in the final round to finish in a tie for 13th at 219 (+6) with teammate Glory Yang, who posted a 73 (+2) on Sunday. Freshman Maria Jose Uribe tied for 16th place at 220 (+7) following a final round 72 (+1). Junior Ryann O'Toole finished 38th at 229 (+16).
Arkansas' Stacy Lewis, the defending NCAA individual champion, won the tournament with a final round score of 70 (-1) to finish at 211 (-2).
