Each week, uclabruins.com will update and highlight select UCLA players' progress during the current MLS season. Games highlighted are from Oct. 1-7. The Bruins lead all universities with 22 alumni in MLS.

Tony Beltran (Real Salt Lake; Years played at UCLA: 2006-07)
Beltran started and played 84 minutes in Real Salt Lake's 2-1 win over the Galaxy on Saturday night. It was Beltran's 30th start of the season for Salt Lake.

Amobi Okugo started and played all 90 minutes at center back in Philadelphia's 3-1 win over Chicago on Wednesday. He then started and again played all 90 minutes in the Union's match against New England on Saturday, leading the team to a 1-0 victory over the Revolution. Okugo helped Philadelphia earn their eighth shutout of the season in the win over New England and has now started and played all 90 minutes in Philadelphia's last 20 matches.
Union record: 10-15-6, 36 points, 8th place in Eastern Conference

Okugo's 2012 MLS season stats: 24GP/21GS, 1,960 minutes, 1 assist, 14 shots, 2 SOG

Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake; Years played at UCLA: 1997-99)
Nick Rimando made five saves to earn his 16th victory of the year as Real Salt Lake defeated the Galaxy by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. He faced 20 total shots in the match and sports a 1.10 GAA on the season.
