UCLA senior Tiffany Joh will join four other esteemed amateurs playing in the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the LPGA's first major of the season. The tournament runs Apr. 2-5 at the Mission Hills Country Club in Palm Springs, Calif.
Joh, 22, has won a pair of U.S. Women's Amateur Publinks titles during her collegiate career. A three-time All-American, she earned Pac-10 Player of the Year in 2008. Last season she also played on the victorious U.S. Curtis Cup team and was a member of the U.S. World Amateur Team. In 2007, she won the Pac-10 Championship and in 2006, she was voted Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year. She has won two tournament titles as a collegian.
In addition, Joh has earned a spot on the UCLA Director's Honor Roll 10 times during her academic career, and boasts a 3.4 cumulative grade point average. She has earned All-Pac-10 Academic Team honors in each of the last two years.
Joh will be joined by Duke senior Amanda Blumenherst, Arizona State's Azahara Munoz, Auburn junior Candace Schepperle and 14 year-old Alexis Thompson, the reigning U.S. Girls Junior champion.
Mission Hills will play to a par of 72 over 6,673 yards.
