Fifth-Ranked Men Host No. 8 Stanford, No. 20 Cal This Weekend
The fifth-ranked UCLA men's tennis team (9-1) has one of its biggest home weekends of the season this week, as No. 8 Stanford (8-2) and No. 20 Cal (4-3) visit the Los Angeles Tennis Center on Friday and Saturday. The Bruins begin the weekend by facing Stanford on Friday at 1:30 p.m. It's a rematch of last year's NCAA Round of 16, which the Bruins won 4-2. UCLA leads the all-time series with Stanford, 58-48. UCLA and Cal will square off on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The Bruins, who lead that series 84-10, beat the Golden Bears in all three meetings last season, including a 4-0 victory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. This weekend's matches will not count in the 2011 Pac-10 standings.
Fans attending the matches this weekend are encouraged to take part in both the Bruin Trivia Contest and the Bruin Raffle. Winners will have the opportunity to win prizes between singles and doubles. There will also be free pizza given out during the match.

Although UCLA suffered a 4-2 loss to Tennessee in the quarterfinals the following day, the Bruins ended the tournament on a positive note, beating No. 10 Florida, 4-3 in a consolation match on Sunday. USC Match Next Week
One of the biggest rivalries in all of college tennis will take place next week, as UCLA will face No. 9 USC on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Marks Tennis Stadium on the campus of USC. The Trojans, winners of the last two NCAA Championships, are coming off a pair of losses at last week's ITA National Team Indoors. They headed into the event as the No. 2-ranked team in the country. The Pac-10 counting match between the two teams takes place on April 22 at UCLA's Los Angeles Tennis Center.
