The UCLA women's water polo team improved to 18-1 overall with a dominating performance over the Cal State Bakersfield, winning by a score of 25-0. The Runners drop to 17-6 on the year.
The UCLA defense was suffocating the entire game, allowing only ten shots. Emily Feher had five saves in the first three quarters, and reserve goalkeeper Brittany Fullen had three saves in the fourth quarter to preserve the shut-out. This is the first shut out of the season. The last Bruin shut out came against Arizona State in 2005.
Molly Cahill and Kelly Rulon led the Bruins with four goals each. Twelve different players scored in the game. This is UCLA's eighth consecutive win. Since losing to Stanford on February 25th, the Bruins have outscored their opponents 152-37.
The Bruins next game is March 31st at home against Loyola Marymount. The game is scheduled for 1:00pm PST.
