The UCLA swimming and diving team capped off an impressive three-day showing at the Texas Invite in Austin on Saturday as more NCAA marks and lifetime-bests were achieved. The Bruins were led by seniors Madeleine Stanton, Anna Poteete and Tess Schofield, and sophomore Dani Milligan and freshman Yasi Jahanshahi.
Stanton swam in an "A" final for the second straight day as she notched a lifetime-best of 1:56.18 in the 200 back to place seventh overall. That mark was also a NCAA "B" qualifier. In the 1650 free, Milligan swam an NCAA "B" qualifier of 16:29.30 to place sixth overall. Jahanshahi was ninth in the 200 fly with a lifetime-best and NCAA time of 1:58.04.
Senior Anna Poteete also picked up an NCAA qualifier in the 100 free as she swam a season-best 49.59 to place 13th overall. Schofield was third on platform with a season-best score of 245.60.
In the 200 breast, the Bruins were led by sophomore Lauren Hall, who finished 12th with a season-best 2:16.15.
