Darren Collison Named UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Junior point guard Darren Collison (Rancho Cucamonga, CA/Etiwanda HS) of the UCLA men's basketball team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 10-16.

Collison, in just his third game back after injuring his knee in the first exhibition game, tied his career high with 20 points while adding six rebounds and five assists with just one turnover in 31 minutes in the 89-49 blowout win over Idaho State on Dec. 15. Collison went 8-for-11 from the field and 3-for-4 from three-point range while making his only free-throw attempt. He also added one steal against the Bengals.

This is Collison's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and third of his career.
