BRUINS IN THE POLLS
Despite suffering their first loss of the season last Wednesday at Pepperdine, the Bruins countered that with a sweep at USC on Friday and moved up two spots to sixth in this week's AVCA Top 25 Coaches poll. UCLA earned 36 more points and are one of six Pac-12 teams ranked in the Top 16. UCLA was eighth in last week's Volleyball Magazine rankings, with the newest poll coming out on Tuesday. In the Pac-12 preseason coaches poll, the Bruins were fifth with 90 points.
