BRUIN INJURY REPORT
Mustafa Abdul-Hamid tore a ligament in his right wrist in practice and has missed the Bruins' last seven games. He had surgery on Dec. 23 to repair the damage and is out the rest of the season. Malcolm Lee had a MRI on his left knee on Dec. 27, which was inconclusive, and missed the Bruins' last two games (vs. Louisiana Tech on Dec. 28 and at Oregon State on Jan. 2. He is doubtful for Sunday's game at Oregon.

SERIES vs. OREGON
This is the 105th meeting between UCLA and the Oregon Ducks with the Bruins leading the series 79-25. UCLA is 31-19 all-time in Eugene, Ore. The Bruins have won seven of the last eight games overall and three of the last four in McArthur Court. The last five games in Eugene have all been decided by eight points or less. Last year, UCLA posted an 80-75 win in Eugene, on the strength of Kevin Love's 26 points and 18 rebounds (Jan. 24, 2008). Darren Collison also had 22 points and six assists while Russell Westbrook poured in 15 points and grabbed seven boards. Malik Hairston led the Ducks with 18 points. Maarty Leunen posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Head Coach Ben Howland is 8-2 all-time against Oregon (3-2, road).

POLLING UCLA
UCLA moved up one spot in both polls this week to No. 9 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 12 in the Associated Press poll, released on Dec. 29, 2008. UCLA has been ranked in the top 25 in the Associated Press poll for 64 straight weeks (since the 2005-06 preseason rankings).

COACH HOWLAND WINS NO. 300
UCLA Head Coach Ben Howland earned his 300th victory of his career (14th season) with the 72-54 win over DePaul in the 15th Annual John R. Wooden Classic (Dec. 13, 2008). He is currently 305-146 (.676), which ranks 25th on the winningest active coaches list by percentage and 68th on the active list by victories. Howland's first career victory was his first game at Northern Arizona in 1994, a 71-69 victory over New Mexico Highlands. His 100th career victory came in his second season at Pittsburgh with the 77-65 win at home over Seton Hall (Jan. 13, 2001). His 200th win came in his third season at UCLA with the 56-37 home win over Delaware State (Nov. 19, 2005).
