Los Angeles, Calif. - Salomon Kalou, Chelsea FC and Ivory Coast striker, will be making a personal appearance at the UCLA Men's and Women's Soccer Camps on Wednesday, June 20th.

The Chelsea star was instrumental in leading the team to its first Champions League title last month as the club defeated Bayern Munich in a thrilling penalty shootout, winning 4-3. Kalou also helped lead Chelsea to its 7th FA Cup title with a 2-1 victory over Liverpool back on May 5th, playing all 90 minutes in the win. Kalou has played six seasons for Chelsea in the English Premier League and represented Ivory Coast at an international level, playing in the Africa Cup of Nations and 2010 World Cup. Kalou has scored 60 goals in all competitions for Chelsea and appeared in over 250 matches with 17 international goals to his name.

"I am very excited to attend the UCLA Soccer Camp and I hope I can inspire the players attending on June 20th," Kalou said. "I've heard good things about the UCLA Bruins Soccer team, so I can't wait to meet everyone there."

The first UCLA Men's and Women's Soccer Day Camps begin on Monday, June 18th and run until Thursday, June 21st. Camp is from 9 am to 3 pm daily out on the Intramural Field across from Pauley Pavilion.
