Winn Leads Divers On Final Day Of Texas Invitational

Texas Invitational Results

Junior Laura Winn led the Bruin divers on the final day of competition at the Texas Invitational in Austin as she finished third overall on tower with a score of 236.35. Her point total was a season-best and an NCAA Zone E qualifier.

Also competing on Saturday were junior Karina Silva and freshman Maggy Boyd. After two third-place finishes on 1M and 3M, Silva ended her meet with a seventh-place finish on tower with a score of 224.80, just under five points shy of her season-best total. Boyd, in her first tower competition of the year, placed 12th with a score of 189.45.

The Texas Invitational wraps up the 2009 portion of the diving schedule. The Bruins will return to action January 8th when they face Kansas and Fresno State at the Spieker Aquatics Center.
