The UCLA women's track and field team will send a full team to the Cal/Nevada Championships in Fresno, while a trio of distance runners head to the Stanford Invite this Friday and Saturday.

Heading to Palo Alto are - Allie Bohannon (1500m), Ashley Caldwell (1500m) and Ciara Viehweg (steeple). Bohannon has already picked up a regional mark in the 800m, and ranks in the top-10 in the nation in that event. This weekend, she will look to pick up a regional mark in the 1500m after finishing second in the mile at the NCAA Indoor Championships where she earned the first All-American honor of her career. Caldwell, also an All-American in the 1500m in 2006, will look for her regional mark, while Viehweg, a regional qualifier already in the steeple, will look to improve in that event.

At Cal/Nevada, distance runners, jumpers, throwers and sprinters, as well as all the vaulters will compete. It is the first opportunity for the Bruins to win a team title this season and an opportunity to pick up more regional qualifiers and improve on those qualifiers already achieved.
