No. 17 UCLA Competes Against No. 18 Clemson on Lake Monticello

LAKE MONTICELLO, Va. - The No. 17 UCLA women's rowing lost in two of three races to No. 13 Clemson in the final day of competition at the Virginia Invitational on Lake Monticello.

UCLA won the varsity four race but dropped the varsity eight and second varsity eight races. The Bruins' varsity eight posted a time of 6:27.20, narrowly finishing behind Clemson (6:25.00).

The second varsity eight finished in 6:44.30, trailing Clemson's time of 6:40.90.

The Bruins' varsity four raced ahead of Clemson, finishing in 7:22.60. The Tigers crossed the finish line in 7:29.50, 6.9 seconds behind UCLA.

UCLA's rowing team returns to action against USC in the annual crosstown showdown on Saturday, April 30. The Bruins' will host the regatta at the UCLA boathouse in Marina del Rey, Calif.
