Storm & Anthony Highlight Women's Track & Field in Albuquerque

Tori Anthony and Ida Storm highlighted the women's track and field team on Friday in Albuquerque at the Don Kirby Elite Invite as both women posted season-best marks in their respective events.

Anthony cleared a height of 13-10 in the pole vault to tie for first. That mark ranks ninth in the NCAA this season.

Storm finished fourth in the 20-lb weight throw with an improved mark of 67-2.25. That throw also moves her into the top 10 nationally this season.

Also in the pole vault, Allison Koressel finished third with a clearance of 13-4.25. Courtney Reginato tied for seventh, while Tasha Kolbo was ninth as both cleared 12-4.50. Kayla Mallett was 14th (11-10.50) and Liz Goodrich was 15th (11-10.50).

In the high jump, Alexis Walker tied for fourth with a clearance of 5-6, while Zibby Boyer was seventh, also clearing 5-6.

On the track, Nijah Nelms finished 15th in the 60m (7.81) and Breyonna Hunter was 18th in the 200m (25.31, lifetime-best).

A few distance runners will be in action on Saturday at the Husky Classic.
