New Haven, Conn. - Incoming UCLA women's tennis player Robin Anderson picked up one of the biggest wins of her young career on Sunday, defeating former UCLA standout Yasmin Schnack in three sets in the finals of the U.S. Open National Playoffs at the Connecticut Tennis Center.
Anderson, who arrives at UCLA this fall, downed Schnack, 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 in Sunday's final. The win earns her a wildcard into the U.S. Open qualifying, which begins this week at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
