UCLA Against Colorado/Utah
UCLA actually played a non-conference match at Colorado last year, with the Buffaloes pulling off a 1-0 upset on a golden goal in the last few minutes of overtime. It marked Colorado's first-ever win over UCLA, which had won both previous meetings between the two teams. UCLA is 1-1 all-time against Utah, last facing the Utes in 2009 (a 6-1 home victory).

Bruins Sweep Arizona Schools
Led by Sydney Leroux's third career hat trick, UCLA dominated Arizona last Friday, posting a 6-1 win at Drake Stadium. Even more impressive was the fact that Leroux's hat trick came in an 11-minute span in the first half. Other goal scorers for the Bruins against the Wildcats were Zakiya Bywaters, Ally Courtnall and Kylie McCarthy. UCLA came back on Sunday, notching a 2-0 victory over ASU thanks to goals from Chelsea Stewart and Jenna Richmond.

Breast Cancer Awareness Jerseys on Sale Now
UCLA's match with ASU on Sunday served as the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness game. In addition to the Bruin players wearing pink and white jerseys, fans who showed up at the game wearing pink received free admission. The player jerseys are currently being auctioned off on uclabruins.com, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Revlon/UCLA Breast Center. Click HERE to access the auction.

UCLA Up to No. 2/6 Nationally
Following its sweep over the Arizona schools last weekend, UCLA improved a spot in both national polls this week. The Bruins moved up from No. 3 to No. 2 in the Soccer America rankings, and from No. 7 to No. 6 in the NSCAA Coaches' poll. Stanford remains the No. 1 team in then nation in both rankings.

UCLA at No. 7 in RPI
Despite its upward movement in both national rankings, UCLA fell from No. 3 to No. 7 in the latest RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) report of the 2011 season on Wednesday. The Bruins have been ranked as high as No. 1 in the RPI this year. An institution's RPI ranking consists of three factors: Winning percentage against Division I opponents (25 percent), opponent strength of schedule (50 percent) and Opponents' opponents strength of schedule (25 percent). Duke is No. 1 in this week's report.

Syd's Shots
Senior forward Sydney Leroux's latest installment of "Syd's Shots" is now available online. In the sixth installment of the season, Leroux is joined by teammate Chelsea Cline. Click HERE to access the video.

UCLA in the Pac-12
At 5-1-2 in league play, UCLA currently sits at third place in the Pac-12 standings with three matches to go. The Bruins trail Stanford (8-0) and Oregon State (6-2). UCLA vs. USC Set for Nov. 4
UCLA's annual showdown with cross-town rival USC will take place on Friday, Nov. 4 at Drake Stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m. Last year's match at the LA Coliseum drew an NCAA record 8,527 fans. The Women of Troy won that match 1-0 with a goal in the 86th minute. Despite last season's loss, the Bruins have been the more dominant team in the all-time series, taking a 19-4-1 record into this year's showdown.
