The UCLA swimming and diving team will host crosstown rival USC on Saturday in the final meet of the regular season. The Bruins (5-3, 2-3 Pac-10) will face off with the Trojans (10-2, 3-2 Pac-10) at noon in the Spieker Aquatics Center. Following the dual meet, the Bruins will begin preparing for the post-season.
USC is ranked ninth in this month's national rankings, while the Bruins are just outside the top-25. The Trojans have a 19-16 all-time record against UCLA and have won the past two dual meets.
UCLA is led by juniors swimmers Brittany Beauchan and Lauren Hall, and diver Karina Silva. These three women, along with several others, have achieved NCAA qualifying marks during the 2009-2010 season. The dual meet with USC always provides for some fast times and this weekend looks to be no different.
Last year, the Bruins has an inspiring performance from Madeleine Stanton as the senior broke the school record in both the 100 and 200 backstroke.
