Alaizah Koorji Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

Alaizah Koorji has earned an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, as announced by the NCAA on Monday. Koorji is one of 58 student-athletes (29 men and 29 women) representing spring sports participants who will receive the one-time grant of $7,500.

Koorji, a four-year varsity eight coxswain for the Bruins majoring in English, captured CRCA National Scholar-Athlete honors for the third consecutive season in 2011. She also collected first-team All-Academic honors from the Pacific-10 Conference for the third straight year.

Andrea Remynse (women's tennis) also earned an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, giving UCLA its 66th and 67th in school history. It is the first Postgraduate Scholarship for UCLA women's rowing.
