The sixth-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team saw its four-match winning streak end in Stockton Friday night as Pacific won in three games.
The Tigers won 30-22, 30-24, 30-27 in 97 minutes before 435 spectators. Pacific raised its record to 8-6 overall, 6-4 in league play. The Bruins fell to 7-7 overall, 5-6 in MPSF action. The victory was Tigers' first in 26 meetings with the Bruins and its sixth in its last seven matches.
UCLA senior Paul George and redshirt freshman Brett Perrine were the only effective hitters for the Bruins. George recorded 10 kills (.500) three aces and one block assist and Perrine added five kills (.357), an ace and one block assist. Steve Klosterman had 10 kills, but was held to a percentage of .065.
UOP's Pekka Seppanen led all players with 15 kills (.400), two aces, two block assists and 18.0 points.
The Bruins travel to Stanford Saturday night for a 7 p.m. match in Palo Alto.
