STANFORD, Calif. - Junior KK Clark scored a game-high four goals as the No. 4 UCLA women's water polo team dropped a 10-8 decision to No. 2 USC on Saturday evening at the Stanford Invitational.
Senior Priscilla Orozco registered three goals against the Women of Troy after having led UCLA with four goals in a 7-6 win over Hawai'i earlier in the day. The Bruins (6-1) also received one goal from senior Kelly Easterday in their first loss of the season.
USC was led by three goals each from Nadia Dan and Kristen Dronberger.
UCLA led early, taking a 3-0 lead in the first quarter before USC clipped the Bruins' margin to 3-2 at the end of the opening frame. The Women of Troy claimed a 5-4 advantage at halftime.
The Bruins entered the fourth quarter trailing 8-6 and could not erase the deficit in the final period.

Junior goalkeeper Caitlin Dement registered a season-high 11 saves against USC.
UCLA returns to action against Indiana on Sunday at 9:10 a.m. at Stanford University.
