Richardson was the top finisher in the triple jump at the Tyson Invite with a mark of 40-9.50. Storm, who was competing in the 20-lb weight throw for the first time in her career, won the event at the Husky Classic with a very solid toss of 65-4.75. The Swede's toss was one of the top 15 marks in the NCAA and around a foot shy of the Swedish National Record. That mark is also the top throw my a freshman this season.
Also in Fayetteville, the 4x400m relay team of Joy Eaton, Ashlea McLaughlin, Turquoise Thompson and Breyonna Hunter were sixth overall with a season-best time of 3:36.77. That marks ranks 17th in the NCAA this season. The distance medley relay team of Tamara Purpura, Briana Barlow, Tiffany LaMar and Paisley Pettway were third with a time of 11:47.33. Melissa Skiba was third in the invite 3000m with a time of 9:40.12.
Over in Seattle, Bruin alum Tori Pena tied for first in the pole vault with a clearance of 13-11.75. Allison Koressel tied for eighth with a lifetime-best of 12-10. In the high jump, Mariah Gibson and Alexis Walker tied for seventh with equal clearances of 5-6.
The Bruins will take next week off as they prepare for the MPSF Indoor Championships, held February 25-26 in Seattle, WA
