Each week, uclabruins.com will update and highlight select UCLA players' progress during the current MLS season. Games highlighted are from July 30-Aug. 5. The Bruins lead all universities with 23 alumni in MLS.

Tony Beltran (Real Salt Lake; Years played at UCLA: 2006-07)
Beltran started and played all 90 minutes in defense as Real Salt Lake fell 1-0 to the Colorado Rapids on Saturday. He did not record a statistic in the match.

Benny Feilhaber (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 2003-04)
Feilhaber started and played 78 minutes as the Revolution fell to Sporting Kansas City 1-0 on Saturday. Feilhaber recorded one shot in the match before being subbed off for fellow UCLA alum Kelyn Rowe in the 78th minute.

Kevin Hartman made six fantastic saves and allowed one goal in FC Dallas' 1-1 draw with the Portland Timbers on Sunday. Hartman faced a staggering 21 attempts on goal and continued to make great save after great save to preserve the draw for FC Dallas.

Patrick Ianni (Seattle Sounders FC; Years played at UCLA: 2003-05)
Patrick Ianni started and played all 90 minutes at center back in Seattle's 4-0 victory over the Galaxy on Sunday. Ianni and the rest of the Seattle defense held the Galaxy to just two shots on goal in the victory.
Sounders record: 10-5-7, 37 points, 3rd place in Western Conference

Ianni's 2012 MLS season stats: 13GP/12GS, 1,128 minutes, 1 goal, 2 shots, 1 SOG

Amobi Okugo (Philadelphia Union; Years played at UCLA: 2009)
Okugo started and played all 90 minutes at center back in Philadelphia's 2-0 loss to Montreal on Saturday. He recorded one shot in the match and has started and played all 90 minutes in the Union's last nine matches.
Union record: 7-11-2, 23 points, 9th place in Eastern Conference

Okugo's 2012 MLS season stats: 13GP/10GS, 970 minutes, 3 shots

Matt Reis (New England Revolution; Years played at UCLA: 1994-97)
Reis made three saves and allowed one goal in New England's 1-0 loss to Sporting Kansas City on Saturday. Reis faced 13 total shots in the match and has now made 63 saves on the season.

Rimando made two saves and allowed one goal in Real Salt Lake's 1-0 loss to the Colorado Rapids on Saturday. He faced 16 attempts on goal in the match. Despite the loss, Rimando is still tied for the league lead with 12 victories on the season.

Andy Rose (Seattle Sounders FC; Years played at UCLA: 2008-11)
Andy Rose scored his first career MLS goal on Sunday as the Seattle Sounders defeated the L.A. Galaxy 4-0. Rose came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute and scored in the 88th minute after he took a cross in the middle from Marc Burch and one-timed the ball near post for his first ever MLS goal. Overall, Rose played 17 minutes in the match and is continuing to flourish in his rookie campaign.
Sounders record: 10-5-7, 37 points, 3rd place in Western Conference

Rose's 2012 MLS season stats: 15GP/8GS, 851 minutes, 1 goal, 1 assist, 13 shots, 3 SOG

Rowe came on as a substitute and played 12 minutes in New England's 1-0 loss to Sporting Kansas City on Saturday. He came on for fellow UCLA alum Benny Feilhaber in the 78th minute and recorded one shot in the match.

Rowe's 2012 MLS season stats: 18GP/13GS, 1,100 minutes, 2 goals, 3 assists, 25 shots, 15 SOG

Marvell Wynne (Colorado Rapids; Years played at UCLA: 2004-05)
Marvell Wynne started and played all 90 minutes at center back in Colorado's 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake on Saturday. It was the ninth consecutive match that Wynne has started and played all 90 minutes for the Rapids. Wynne and the rest of the Rapids defense were stellar on Saturday, holding Real Salt Lake to just four attempts on goal in the shutout victory. Colorado now has six shutouts on the year and Wynne has started and played all 90 minutes in five of those shutouts.
Rapids record: 8-14-1, 25 points, 7th place in Western Conference
