WOODLAND, Calif. - Junior attacker Katie Rulon of the top-ranked UCLA women's water polo team earned MPSF Co-Player of the Week honors, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced this week. Rulon scored a team-high 12 goals through four games at the Michigan Invitational last weekend.
Rulon led UCLA (4-0) with four goals in each of the team's 14-5 wins against Arizona State and UC San Diego on Saturday, Jan. 26. The San Diego, Calif., resident registered two goals in each game on Sunday, Jan. 27, as UCLA cruised past Colorado State (15-2) and Indiana (15-6).
Rulon shares the weekly honors with San Jose State goalkeeper Kendra Adama, who totaled 32 saves in four wins at the Michigan Invitational.
UCLA returns to action at No. 12 Loyola Marymount on Saturday, Feb. 2. Game time is 12 p.m. at LMU's Burns Recreation Complex.
