UCLA's Brittany Rowe Captures MPSF Co-Player of the Week Honors

WOODLAND, Calif. - Senior Brittany Rowe of the top-ranked UCLA women's water polo team captured Mikasa MPSF Co-Player of the Week honors, marking the Bruins' fifth such selection by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation in eight weeks this season. Rowe scored five goals in two matches of the weekend, helping lead UCLA to a 6-0 mark in conference play.

Rowe scored a team-high three goals Saturday, March 8, as No. 1 UCLA powered past No. 2 Stanford, 9-7, in a crucial MPSF match. Rowe, who has scored at least one goal in each of UCLA's last 11 matches, tallied two goals in Sunday's 15-5 win over San Jose State.

Rowe, who hails from San Diego, Calif., becomes the fourth Bruin to earn the weekly honor this season.

The top-ranked UCLA women's water polo team plays at No. 4 USC in an MPSF showdown Friday, March 14. Game time at USC is slated for 5 p.m.
