No. 4 Bruins Continue Pac-10 Play at Home Against Oregon Schools
After suffering just its second loss of the season last Sunday, the fourth-ranked UCLA women's soccer team (12-2-1; 3-1 Pac-10) looks to get back in the win column this week hosting Oregon and Oregon State at Drake Stadium. The Bruins begin the weekend against Oregon (8-5-1; 0-3 Pac-10) on Friday at 7:00 p.m. UCLA will then host Oregon State (9-4-1; 1-2 Pac-10) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Both matches can be heard live via the internet on the Oregon / Oregon State

Breast Cancer Awareness Day Set for Sunday
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the UCLA women's soccer program will help raise awareness by offering an exclusive pink t-shirt, available for a donation of $10 at this Sunday's match against Oregon State. Fans wearing the t-shirt will receive complimentary admission to the match. T-shirts may be purchased before the game outside of Drake Stadium and will be sold throughout the match. Bruins Go 1-1 on Bay Area Trip
UCLA was in the Bay Area last week for matches against No. 17 Cal and No. 1 Stanford. The weekend started strong for the Bruins, as UCLA posted a 1-0 victory over Cal thanks to a Sydney Leroux goal in the 77th minute. UCLA, however, saw its 22-match Pac-10 winning streak come to an end at Stanford's Cagan Stadium on Sunday, as the top-ranked Cardinal took a 2-0 win. Both teams played scoreless soccer for the first 70 minutes, however an own goal by UCLA put Stanford up 1-0 at the 71:01 mark. The Cardinal would tack on another a little more than a minute later to eventually take a 2-0 win. UCLA had chances of its own, as Lauren Cheney hit one off the post, and Lauren Barnes bounced a shot off the underside of the crossbar late in the match.

Bruins Ranked No. 4 Nationally
The Bruins are ranked No. 4 in both the NSCAA/adidas and Soccer America polls this week. Despite the loss to Stanford, the Bruins remained the same in Soccer America's weekly rankings. UCLA fell just one place, from No. 3 to No. 4, in the NSCAA/adidas Coaches' Poll. The NSCAA rankings can be found HERE.

No Bad Losses
Both of UCLA's losses this year have come against teams that were ranked No. 1 at the time. The Bruins fell to preseason No. 1 North Carolina in the season opener, and recently lost to current No. 1 Stanford last week. UCLA is 4-0-1 against the five other top 25 teams it has faced this year.

Leroux, Sandiford Lead the Pac-10
Sophomores Sydney Leroux and Chante' Sandiford both lead the Pac-10 in statistical categories this week. Leroux ranks tied for first in game-winning goals with five. She recently tacked on another last weekend, scoring the game's only goal in a 1-0 victory over No. 17 Cal. Sandiford ranks No. 1 in the conference in goals against average, taking an 0.59 GAA into this Friday's contest with Oregon.

UCLA/USC Match Less Than 10 Days Away
The Bruins' biggest home match of the year is less than 10 days away, as the annual UCLA/USC showdown is set for Oct. 30 at Drake Stadium. The match, which will be televised live on the Fox Soccer Channel, will begin at 7:00 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets to the match by walking up to the Drake Stadium ticket booth roughly and hour before the match. UCLA has dominated the series, owning an 18-3-1 record against USC. The Bruins downed the Women of Troy, 2-0 at LA Coliseum last year. UCLA also took a 1-0 victory over USC in the 2008 NCAA Round of 16 at Drake Stadium.

Senior Day Against USC
Five UCLA seniors will be playing in their final regular-season home during the USC match on Oct. 30. A special ceremony honoring the five seniors will take place prior to that match. UCLA's seniors are: Kara Lang, Lauren Cheney, Dea Cook, Lauren Wilmoth and Kristina Larsen. Since arriving in Westwood back in 2006, this year's senior class has posted an impressive 75-9-5 overall record.
