SENIOR CONTRIBUTIONS - UCLA has excelled in 2009, largely in part to its production from the team's four seniors. Over the past four seasons (2006-09), the Bruins' current senior class has gone 110-11. UCLA's four seniors have led UCLA to NCAA championships each of the past three seasons, extending the program's streak to an unprecedented four straight NCAA titles. The Bruins' three senior attackers rank among the team's top three scorers this spring (Tanya Gandy, 64; Katie Rulon, 50; Anne Belden, 35). Senior goalkeeper Brittany Fullen has logged 176 saves in 612 minutes in 2009.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - Senior Tanya Gandy has twice been named MPSF Player of the Week this season (Jan. 26, March 16). Gandy scored nine goals in three games at the Michigan Invitational (Jan. 24-25) and registered 13 goals in three games from March 12-14. Senior Brittany Fullen captured the weekly honor Feb. 16 after collecting 30 saves in two games. Senior Katie Rulon was named MPSF Player of the Week on March 9, having led UCLA with nine goals in three games that weekend.
RECORD NUMBERS - Several Bruins have moved into elite company in the school's record books this spring. Senior Tanya Gandy's current 64-goal total ranks seventh-highest in the school's single-season record book. Senior Katie Rulon has totaled 191 career goals, currently the third-highest total in program history. Gandy's 172 career goal total ranks fifth. Senior goalkeeper Brittany Fullen has registered 485 career saves, presently the fourth-most career saves in school history.
STREAK SNAPPED - UCLA's program-record 46-game win streak came to an end on Feb. 7, as Hawai'i edged the Bruins, 13-12. That streak stands as the longest in collegiate women's water polo history. Following a 7-6 loss at Stanford on April 14, 2007, UCLA won its next 46 games, spanning three different seasons. Along the way, the Bruins captured the 2007 and 2008 NCAA Championships.
SUPER SISTERS - The Bruins' 2009 squad features 10 sophomores, including top scoring threat Priscilla Orozco. Entering this weekend's game versus USC, Orozco has totaled 34 goals, the fourth-highest total on the team. Through UCLA's 25 matches, she has scored at least one goal in 18 games. Priscilla is joined on the team this spring by her younger sister, freshman Sarah Orozco (17 goals).
HOME SWEET HOME - UCLA has posted a perfect 7-0 record at Sunset Canyon Recreation Center this season. Most recently, the Bruins registered a 15-6 win versus No. 12 Hartwick and a 15-9 victory over Brown in a doubleheader on Thursday, March 26. The Bruins close their regular-season schedule at home versus crosstown rival USC (April 11).

A four-year men's water polo letterwinner and 1997 UCLA graduate, Krikorian has been a part of 14 national championships in 16 seasons with the men's and women's water polo programs. Most recently, Krikorian has led the UCLA women's water polo team to four consecutive NCAA Championships. Overall, he has coached the women's program to seven national championships (six NCAA).
